What a run to get to this point! Thank you for your trust and support of me and my campaign.

It is incredible for me to look back at where we have come from since last fall when I was first encouraged to run for office. In that time, I have met so many of you – visited your towns, knocked on countless of your doors, and spent many hours on the phone and in gatherings with you – in an effort to make sure that I understood and could speak effectively for our needs and desires on District 33 in the Senate.

I am honored that you chose me to be your Senator and I will strive to protect your families, livelihoods, and liberties with every fiber of my being. The warmup to this job is over and the real work begins now. I would ask for your continued prayers for myself and our other state representatives as we work towards our next session starting in January.

Please do reach out to let me know if there are priorities on your mind that I can assist you with. All of my contact info is listed on the contact page above.

Thank you all again. It is a privilege and an honor to serve you.

Keith

Thank you

Keith Boehm Announces Candidacy for District 33 Senate Seat

Hello! My name is Keith Boehm, and it’s an honor to be with you today and announce my campaign as a Republican for the Senate seat in District 33. North Dakota is my home. It’s where I was born, and where my wife, Janelle, and I raised our 8 children. It’s the homestead where I learned the values of hard work and perseverance, growing up northwest of Mandan and working long days alongside my dad on the family farm and ranch. It’s been a land of opportunity, providing me with a 42-year career in the power industry at Minnkota Power Plant in Center, including 33 years as a blue-collar worker and 9 years as a management supervisor. For the last 25 years, it’s where I’ve developed first-hand experience as a small business owner, sharing in partnership with 2 family members in the Flying J Travel Center west of Mandan. And this place I’ve always called home is now home to a much bigger family, including all my children, their respective spouses, and 15 grandchildren.

In recent months, I got involved in politics at the local level and began studying the voting records of our elected officials. The results were deeply concerning. A representative should uphold the values and goals of the constituents who elected them. Hard-working, every-day moms and dads have indicated to me that their parental rights are being trampled by unnecessary overreach and an ever-expanding bureaucracy. These parents deserve a representative who will honor our party platform, working towards parental choice and a safe, productive learning environment for our kids and grandkids. Many of us are farmers and ranchers, active in family operations whose success hinges on the balance of individual enterprise and reasonable governance. As our sons and daughters assume increasing interests in the land that we hope to eventually entrust to them, our district needs a representative with the practical knowledge to preserve this way of life.

Having spent a lifetime in farming, I will bring the leadership and real-world experience needed to make constructive decisions and provide practical solutions. As a small business owner and experienced employee within the power industry, I will work to preserve and expand opportunities for small business in our state, as well as fight for the coal industry that is the backbone of our community and the livelihood for so many of our friends and neighbors.

As someone who has broad experience in life, I look back at the past with a sense of profound gratitude for the many opportunities I’ve had and for those who served and sacrificed to make our country such a great place to live. We have been blessed with tremendous freedom and opportunity, and I want it to stay this way for future generations. That’s why I’m asking for the opportunity to serve you, the people of District 33. Now, more than ever, our district needs representation directed by the desires and concerns of our community. We need elected officials who have walked the walk, not just talked the talk. We need principled representatives with real-world experience who understand the challenges of our time and are willing to take a stand and make tough decisions on behalf of those they serve. In the momentous words of Thomas Jefferson, “The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.” I am prepared to do my part to defend our freedoms and will work hard to earn your trust and to protect your families, your livelihoods, and your liberties. Thank you for your support.
